ASSIMILATE Store Now Features NEAT Video Pro Plug-in and Tangent Element Control Panels for SCRATCH and SCRATCH Lab
Dynamic New Tools Added to the Creative Arsenal of SCRATCH and SCRATCH Lab Artists

The ASSIMILATE Store(tm), the unique on-line marketplace to discover, trial, and purchase SCRATCH Lab, as well as third-party software and selected hardware accessories, has expanded its product offerings to include two exciting new products:

  • The new Neat Video Pro OpenFX Plug-in for SCRATCH(r) and SCRATCH Lab(tm). Available immediately on the ASSIMILATE Store, Neat Video Pro has brought their industry leading de-noise technology to SCRATCH and SCRATCH Lab artists. Offering premium noise reduction and sharpening features, the Neat Video Pro is priced at $199.90.
  • The new Element Control Panels from Tangent, the most innovative and elegant control surfaces in the industry. The Element control panels are fully supported by SCRATCH and SCRATCH Lab, and are sold individually or bundled together, priced at $3495 (USD).  All panels are immediately available on the ASSIMILATE Store.

These two exciting new additions to the SCRATCH and SCRATCH Lab ecosystem enable post-production artists to work more creatively and productively than ever before, with greater control in their SCRATCH digital workflows.

NEAT Video Pro OpenFX Plug-in

The Neat Video Pro filter reduces visible noise and grain in video footage produced by digital video cameras, camcorders, TV-tuners and digitizers of film or analog video. Neat Video Pro incorporates the most advanced noise reduction algorithms in the industry, building on device noise profiles to make noise reduction custom-tailored to the video capturing device.

Neat Video Pro combines the best-in-class intra-frame noise filter that reduces noise and grain in individual frames with an intelligent temporal noise filter, which further reduces any remaining imperfections by using data from several adjacent frames. Working closely together, these two filters reduce more noise and better preserve sharpness and actual details than any single filter. Neat Video Pro is multi-core, multi-CPU and multi-GPU optimized to provide the best performance with modern CPUs and CUDA-capable NVidia graphics cards.

Tangent Element Panels

Feel alchemy at your fingertips with the fully featured Tangent Element Control Panel in an ergonomic, compact design priced at $3495 (USD). The full bundle includes four Element panels to give you full physical control over the components of your production, including noise levels, color grading, finishing and more.

  • Element-Tk: Trackerball
  • Element-Mf: Multifunction
  • Element-Kb: Knob
  • Element-Bt: Button

The Element panel controls are intuitive, with every programmable control clearly labeled, so if the function of the control changes so does the display label - no need to refer back to reference notes or on-screen help.

Competitively priced, these modular control panels are also sold individually, allowing artists to build and add controls as needed. The four panels magnetically lock together to create a footprint of 30.3 inches x 7.9 inches (77cm x 20cm) - fully featured yet sized well for smaller workstation surfaces.

"The ASSIMILATE Store continues to be the best place for SCRATCH and SCRATCH Lab artists to explore and purchase the third-party products that help make SCRATCH so powerful," says Steve Bannerman, VP Marketing at ASSIMILATE. "These two new additions to the Store highlight its rapid growth as well as that of the entire SCRATCH ecosystem. We continue to push the envelope, delivering the unique tools that drive the productivity and creativity of the DI and dailies artists who create the world's best stories."
